At Health Ex Physical Therapy, we have assembled a group who all share the same commitment and interest for you, the patient. Our staff is concerned with your needs and in providing quality rehabilitation. Under the direction of Linzy Mooney, RPT, we work toward the common goal of freeing all of our patients from pain. We all are professionals with a great deal of experience and training.

 
    

 

Linzy E Mooney, R.P.T. Clinical Director, APTA and FSMTA

Linzy earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy from Catholic University of Parana, Brazil in 1984. She began her career working at the Panama Social Security Hospital. From there, Linzy continued her trek up the Americas to take a position at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Illinois and later accepted a position at Central Louisiana Physical Therapy. Linzy came to the First Coast in 1992, where she continued to gain experience at four local physical therapy clinics. She opened Health Ex in 1998 which she is Clinical Director.
Linzy has continued to expand upon her education and experiences and has earned numerous special certifications. Her most recent certificate came in the area of Strain and Counter Strain issued by the Jones Institute. She has also earned certificates in Assessment of Vestibular Disorders; Myofascial Release: Total Body Approach from John Barnes PT; the Advance Knee and Shoulder seminar; and many others. Linzy’s education, experiences and her continued pursuit of knowledge about the latest developments in physical therapy techniques allows her to create the most beneficial physical therapy programs for her patients.

 
    

 

Christien Jarvis, Office Associate

Born and raised in Jacksonville Florida, Christien is currently working on her Bachelors Degree as a Registered Dietitian at the University of North Florida. She plans to graduate in 2012. Christien enjoys working at Health Ex and gaining valuable experience for her future. She is grateful for the opportunity to help people with their healing process and working along side Linzy and her co-workers.
    

 

Kariel Robertson, Marketing Associate

Kariel is currently in school studying to become a dental hygienist. Her goal is to attend a dental program studying abroad in Sweden. Kariel feels she is a people person and enjoys meeting and associating with the local medical community and Health Ex's cliental. She is thankful for her flexible position as it works around her school schedule.
    

 

Stephen P. Mooney, Administrator

Stephen operates the departments of business administration, accounting and insurance claim billing and management. He has been CEO of Health Ex for over 10 years. Stephen graduated from Cayuga County New York State College with an AAS degree in telecommunications technology. He has also earned a degree in Massage Therapy from Alpha School of Massage and continues his studies at Florida State College in business management and accounting. He enjoys running a company that has helped so many people. He appreciates working each day with his wife, Linzy and his wonderful staff. Although Health Ex is a big part of his life, he likes to spend leisure time with his family.
